The OSINT Newsletter - Email Address to Name + Image using Dropbox API
An open source intelligence method for turning an email address into a name, image, and possibly more information using Dropbox's API
This year I’ve spent a significant amount of time doing research on reverse email methods. Many of those modules can be found in Poastal, an open-source reverse email OSINT tool I created earlier this year.
In this issue, I explore a new method using an internal Dropbox API with the Dropbox-Outlook contact integration to turn any email address into a name and image (when applicable.)
Paid subscribers will be guided step by step through account creation, email acquisition, contact import and integration, internal API discovery, web request extraction, cURL conversion, and Python script creation.
At the end of this issue, subscribers will also get a boilerplate Python script I’ve created to streamline this process with only minor configuration required.
You’ll also be supporting independent OSINT research that doesn’t require tens of thousands of dollars for an enterprise software solution.
